Sweden Game Conference 2018

On the first and final day of SGC, the DONNA Café will host a Higher Education Video Game Alliance  Fika for anyone who is interested to discuss matters relating to games and academia. DONNA is an organization founded at the University of Skövde, and its core mission is to champion causes relating to equality and inclusivity in game education, game culture, and in the games industry. HEVGA, or the Higher Education Video Game Alliance, is a non-profit organization that focus on the sharing of information and ideas for how game academia can progress. The organization has had North America as its main region of operation, but it is currently in the early stages of establishing a European network.
We hope that these Fika events can be a good platform for visitors of the Sweden Game Conference that have an interest in anything relating to game academia to meet up and make themselves known to one another. If you’re a: researcher or lecturer interested in sharing your experiences, discuss ideas, or network; if you’re a student interested in talking about career paths in game studies; or if you’re just generally interested in having coffee among friends, feel free to drop by! There is no organized schedule of topics or talks, so come as you are!
